World AIDS Day December 1
World AIDS Day is a time to raise awareness and focus attention on the global epidemic and to remember dear friends no longer with us. It's a time to come together as a community, celebrate the good work that has been done while remembering there is so much more to do. Over 1 million Americans are estimated to be living with HIV. Worldwide, it is estimated that 33 million people are living with HIV.
Our wish for World AIDS Day is for the day when the world is without AIDS. Our wish may seem the impossible dream, but we believe it is very possible. Let it begin here, at home through compassion and understanding, awareness, advocacy and education.
What is your wish? We hope you will share it at www.facebook.com/vcaidspartnership. Please join us at California Lutheran Univeristy's World AIDS Day Events that are free and open to the public. Monday, November 30, 7:00 p.m. Screening of documentary film, “Little Secret” and Tuesday, December 1, 4:30 p.m. Positively Speaking, Keynote Address and Candlelight Vigil.
